Metro Partners needed to rent out apartments in Yonkers. Rather than following traditional media channels, they created a contest offering free rent for the best YouTube video. The theme, “I gotta move” did not energize many to submit videos but the local ABC station discovered it and gave it tremendous coverage. All the free press plus a Valentine’s Day singles party through their Facebook Page, via targeted Facebook advertising, Google pay-per-click, and Craigslist ads sent over 20,000 people to their
website and less than six months later, almost every units was rented.
