In addition to moms many jobs, she is also often the family trip planner. You would have thought someone would have done this before but apparently the Macaroni Kid’s Family Travel Expo and Blogger Conference is the first of its kind dedicated to family travel. So mark your calendar.

“A recent Macaroni Kid poll shows that 87.9% of our readers believe that travel makes kids better global citizens,” explains Macaroni Kid CEO Joyce Shulman. “We couldn’t agree more and are thrilled to bring this event to New York this spring.”

On Sunday, May 6, between 300 and 500 family travel enthusiasts will have the opportunity to explore destinations and make plans for their next adventure. Presenting sponsor is Residence Inn by Marriott who will be joined by other sponsors such as General Motors, Tauck Tours, Visit Philly, Cayman Islands Tourism and Hersheypark, to name a few.

On Monday, May 7, an intimate group of 100 mom bloggers, sponsors and guests who share a passion for family travel will gather for a day full of tips, ideas and advice for taking their travel blogging to the next level. They will hear from speakers like past president of the Explorer’s Club and host of ABC TV’s Born to Explore, Richard Weise, social media expert Ted Rubin, former publisher of National Geographic Kids, Rainer Jenns and super mom blogger, Carol Cain, better known as NYCityMama.

If you want to come to the Expo, tickets for the Sunday Expo are $9 for adults, free for kids under 16. Tickets for the Monday conference are $99 and include a welcome cocktail party on Sunday, breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks, content and gift bags for all guests.
