Moms and the City and a back-to-school event at Staples.

I attended the Staples Back-to-school event hosted by Moms And the City and Melissa Gerstein, Denise Albert and Raina Seitel this week. These three energetic ladies also have a show on NBC called “Moms and the City and a Dad named David.” These events are always fun because you get to meet moms you’ve only met online, make new friends and say hi to ones you already know.

If you’ve ever wondered what goes on at a blogger event, here’s a small taste. About 30+ moms (and 2 dads) were given the inside scoop to back-to-school at a local Staples. We were divided into 3 groups and taken to three different stations. The first station was for learning all about the program featuring the girls from Pretty Little Liars and the Staples for Student campaign. Students are encouraged to collect school supplies for children in need and drop them off at Staples. Then we were shuffled upstairs to hear about the new PCs and service. Next on the agenda, we hustled back downstairs to hear about the Staples Savings Pass, a $10 discount card where moms can get anything and everything for back to school every day through September 17th at 15% off. Melissa, Denise and Raina then showed us all their favorite new back to school items and followed it up with “Staples Bingo” and a drawing for a $100 gift card. And of course, it wouldn’t be complete without the quintessential gift bag at the end that I shared with the folks back at the office.

And that’s a taste of a mom blogger event.
