Well Johnson & Johnson along with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation are donating $5 for every share to do just that. No money out of your pocket, just your voice and social skills can make a difference. Now who can’t do that? But I want you to truly make this a relay. I’m going to give you a tweet and I’d like you to tell 10 friends and have them tell 10 friends. Just think what a few well-placed tweets can do.
Join the global motherhood. Click to share and you help through one of four initiatives that are helping women and children lead healthy and happy lives – Girl Up, the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves, Mobile Alliance for Maternal Action (MAMA), and the Shot@Life campaign.
The United Nations Foundation, Johnson & Johnson, The Huffington Post, BabyCenter, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation are launching the Global Mom Relay of moms and their friends from around the world sharing stories of motherhood to inspire action to help improve the lives of mothers and children everywhere. Each day, people like Arianna Huffington, Elizabeth Gore, Jennifer Lopez, and Lynda Lopez, will come together as part of the relay by using social media tools ranging from interviews to blog posts to photos and videos to highlight the power of motherhood, to share an issue and cause they are committed to, or to talk about the mom who inspires them. They will then “pass the baton” to the next relay participant.
